2.00.06 - Car Hauler

Car hauler is one of the most exotic and technically complex kinds of semitrailers; a light two-story construction with everything fit precisely to a millimeter cannot but evoke admiration and even surprise.

Modern car haulers are intended for transportation of 5-8 full-size (not compact) cars. Increase of capacity with the same outside dimensions are attained by transforming what used to be a solid deck (as in beginning of 1990-th) into a system of inclined ladders driven by electric or hydraulic hoisters. Car haulers are literally stretched over the ground, the wheels have diameter of 19.5 inches, and clearance is just 8 inches (about 20 cm).
